The new layout will now be active when logging in. Previously you could try the new layout from the link on top right corner. Now you can use that link to change back to the old layout. Old layout will still be usable, but it's no longer updated/maintained.
The new layout is almost the same as the old one. Although there are some changes and also one new feature.

Ulkoasu muuttunut
Uusi ulkoasu näkyy nyt suoraan kirjautuessa sisään. Aikaisemminhan uutta ulkoasua pystyi kokeilemaan oikeassa yläkulmassa olevasta linkistä. Sieltä pääsee nyt halutessaan takaisin vanhaan ulkoasuun. Vanhaa ulkoasua pystyy edelleen käyttämään, mutta sitä ei enää päivitetä/ylläpidetä.
Uusi ulkoasu on pitkälti sama kuin vanha. Joitain muutoksia on kuitenkin tullut sekä yksi uusi toimintokin.

Finelin linkit

iPhone interface for xlGain.com
Oh, it's almost four months from the last post. There haven't been any big changes in that time. Only couple of small updates. I made a new front page for the new layout. Front page now lists all the recent things user has done. It also shows next training and notifies if user has forgot to do something. Here is a picture of new front page:

I also made iPhone optimized pages, which can be found in http://iphone.xlgain.com. Those pages does NOT yet have all the features. For example you can't create a new training routine, but you can add your existing routines to calendar.
I don't have neither iPhone nor Mac, so I can't test those pages at all. :) But they should work ok. If there's something wrong, please post it here. Here's is couple of pics I took using iPhoneTester.

Stats-page / Tilastot-sivu
I've made a new page that show statistics for user's data. This page IS ONLY available for the new layout. Stats-page can be found HERE (It can also be found from left menu).
Stats are divided to three different categories: Training, nutrition and others. In "Training" user will see information about his/hers training. There are, for example, total count/duration, first/last training and percentages of training days/times. There are also TOP10 exercises and possibility to save all the workouts as PDF-file.
In "Nutrition" there are similar stats than there were in "Training". There's average calories, first/last marked day and TOP10 meals. In "Other"-tab user will see his/hers biggest and smallest weight and information about gallery pictures.

Tutorial: Creating meals
Here's tutorial for creating and using meals. These tutorial are for the new layout, which can be found here.
Meals helps when you're eating (almost) same lunch or dinner each day. You don't have to add all the foods individually. Just add one meal, that has all the correct ingredients. Or if you have some special type of sandwich you eat every morning, which contains, for example, cheese, ham and bacon. Without using meals, you would have to add each food separately, which would take some time. Faster way is to create meal called "My sandwich" and use that every time you eat your sandwich.
Let's see how it's works. From "meals"-page you'll see the meals you've created. From there you can select previously created meal or create a new one. Now we'll create a new meal called "My Sandwich".

Type meal's name and click "Create". Then you can select which foods belongs to this meal. Let's make that kind of sandwich I describe earlier. So first add one bread and then all the stuff you put on it. Remember that we're making just one bread. Because when adding this sandwich, you will also select how many sandwiches have you eat.
So when you have added all the foods, it should look something like this:

Healthy sandwich, I would have to say :) Now your meal is visible in your "meals"-page. You can also edit it later if you want.
Adding a meal
After creating meals, you can add them. To do this, just select some day from the calendar (small calendar on the left menu). You can also click "Today's nutrition" from the menu to select the current day. Now there is "Add meal"-table on bottom of the page. From there you can add a meal to selected day. Let's add the meal we created previously. Select "My Sandwich" from the list. Then type "2" as a amount, because nobody eats just one sandwich. :) So it's should look like this:

On the right you'll see what selected meal contains. Now click "Add meal" and your meal will be added.

Now the "My Sandwich"-meal is at 17:00. I also added one glass of milk. By clicking meal's name you'll see some information (total calories, proteins, ...) about that meal.

Päivitystä osoitteen siirrosta: Futuron ->Sigmatic
Siirrän tosiaan sivuston osoitteen toiselle palveluntarjoajalle (Sigmatic), johtuen Futuronilla olleista katkoksista. Siirrossa nyt tuntuu vaan kestävän. Futuron lähetti irtisanomisen jälkeen ilmoituksen, että osoite on valmis siirrettäväksi (siirtolukitus poistettu, yms...). Sigmatic ei kuitenkaan saanut osoitetta siirrettyä, joten kaikki ei ilmeisesti sittenkään ollut kunnossa.
Kysyin Futuronilta asiaa sähköpostitse jo n. viikko sitten, mutta en ole vieläkään saanut mitään vastausta. Futuronilla tuntuu sähköposteihin vastaaminen muutenkin kestävän. Mitä olen lukenut muiden juttuja, monella tuntuu olevan vaikeuksia osoitteen siirrossa juuri Futuronin kanssa. Toivottavasti kuitenkin saan osoitteen siirrettyä mahdollisimman nopeasti. Siihen asti (ja itse asiassa jatkossakin) sivut löytyvät tosiaan osoitteesta http://xlgainco.asiakkaat.sigmatic.fi.

Beta version of new layout

Kirjoitetaan nyt suomeksi kun näyttää, että suurin osa lukuisista :) kävijöistä on suomalaisia.
Eli uutta layouttia on tulossa. Ei mitään mullistavia muutoksia varmaan tule, mutta joitain pieniä parannuksia kuitenkin. On ollut kauhea kiire koulussa/töissä, joten en ole oikein ehtinyt vielä kaikkea muuttaa mitä on tarkoitus. Lähinnä kalenteriin olen tehnyt muutoksia.
Ruokien lisääminen on jonkin verran muuttunut. Siitä olikin jo aikaisemmin kuva. Koitin tehdä siitä selkeämmän näköisen. Poistin mm. yksittäisten ruokien kalorimäärät, koska niitä tuskinpa moni tarvitsee.

Treenipuoli on myös muuttunut vastaavan näköiseksi. Lisäsin myös mahdollisuuden arvioida jokainen treeni arvosanalla 1-5. Poistin vallan tehdyt/tekemättömät kohdat ja nyt treenin voi merkitä tehdyksi/tekemättömäksi klikkaamalla vihreää ikonia.

Kalenterin kuukausinäkymään lisäsin tiedot jokaisen viikon kaloreista. Jokaiselle päivälle voi myös lisäillä haluamiaan viestejä.

Tein myös toisenlaisen värivaihtoehdon. Profiilista voi vaihtaa, jos haluaa kokeilla. Jos on jotain ehdotuksia väreistä, niin tänne voi ilmoitella. Jos haluaa esim. jonkin tietyn värityksen.

Pistääkää viestiä tänne mitä mieltä olette tai jos on jotain ongelmia. Uuden version pitäisi kuitenkin toimia jo suht hyvin. Explorerilla voi tietenkin joitain ongelmia esiintyä. Muutenkin jos on jotain ehdotuksia, niin rohkeasti viestiä vaan tulemaan.

Small changes for gallery & new layout
I made few improvements to the gallery. Now there's next- and previous-links on each picture. Those links shows next/previous picture from that same category.

Then I added a possibility to show your pictures also to non-members. You can choose which categories and poses can be viewed without logging in. You can set that from your "Pictures"-page. From there, select category or some pose and check "Show these pictures also to non-members".

I have also been working with new layout. It doesn't (yet) differ much from the old one, but already contains some new things. I'll try to come up with more improvements and maybe release it some day. :) If you have any ideas about the new layout post them here.

New gallery
I made a new gallery for the site with AJAX. It focuses more on showing posing pictures, but also other pictures can be uploaded. In gallery, any two posing pictures can be compared side by side. So it's easy to compare your current condition to your previous one or to some other user's condition. Every picture can also be commented by users. Gallery works best with Firefox- and Opera-browsers. With Internet Explorer there might be (at least) some visual problems.

Pictures have some extra information under them. First there is a date when the picture was taken. Posing pictures have also the weight of the user in picture.
While browsing posing pictures you can select pictures to be viewed in "Comparison"-page. In Comparison-page you can compare two posing pictures. Pictures can also be selected from the Comparison-page. To select pictures from gallery, click "1" or "2" under any picture. When picture is selected, the number has light blue background.
